                  Holiday Extravanganza performance

My Nose Turns Red Theatre Company provides a great opportunity for students to increase their technical and performance skills.  Group size is around 15 advanced students, ages 8-18.  Several joined this past year, but most have been a part of the Youth Circus Program for 4-6 years.  One assistant instructor, now a college student, has been involved with our Company since he was nine.

The participants in the Fall Session and Winter/Spring Session of the Advanced Circus Class meet for 20 Saturday mornings (10 in Fall Session and 10 in Winter/Spring Session) to prepare as featured performers in The Spring Extravaganza, a yearly performance in the Jarson-Kaplan Theater of the Aronoff Center for the Arts, the Cincinnati area's premier performance space.  Our show is accompanied by a professional three-piece band, and is an incredible opportunity and experience for the children involved.

The Winter/Spring Session meets on Saturday mornings  beginning in January or February each year.  Participants continue to develop all-around skills plus challenge themselves to pick one or two specialties to master.

To join:  The Advanced Class membership is by invitation only, for students with existing circus skills.  If you have a child with a keen interest in circus, but no previous experience, the best place to begin is in the Summer Youth Circus Camps, and/or an After School Program such as the ones at Sands Montessori School, Cincinnati Waldorf School, or Thomas Edison Elementary, or a Home School Circus Program.
