Why Donate to My Nose Turns Red Theatre Company & the Youth Circus?

Your monetary donation to My Nose Turns Red will give new generations the opportunity to study and give new life to the great theatrical traditions that brought us Charlie Chaplin, Lucille Ball, the Commedia dell’Arte and the one-ring circus.      My Nose Turns Red Theatre Company’s Youth Circus Project is entering its 10th year!  Each year more children participate.  In addition to meeting such unique challenges as doing the chicken dance on stilts, walking  the rolling globe and recreating “I love Lucy” scenes, they are developing team work, self esteem, and overcoming shyness—all important life skills.      As one child with a huge smile and bright eyes said to a group of adults, “I used to be shy.”  Although this is a simple statement, it reflects the power and value of the My Nose Turns Red Circus Program.      Through residencies at schools and libraries, My Nose Turns Red gives children the opportunity to study and perform some of the great folktales from around the world. The Company provides opportunities for our youth to gain an in-depth art experience. My Nose Turns Red is committed to making this unique program financially accessible to all.      Fees account for only half of the income needed. Simply put, we need your financial help to reach this goal. We know it’s old fashioned but it does insure that 100% of your donation goes to youth programs.                               (A thank you note and statement for your taxes will be returned to you.)
