My Nose Turns Red offers a
variety of workshops for schools. Workshops generally last 50-55 minutes
each, but can be as short as 20 minutes for Pre-K and as long as all day for
drama majors.
These are group activities that make it easy for all to participate.
Workshops are designed to create a warm and safe atmosphere.
Creative Movement and Drama: Grades Pre-K to 3
Fun exercises that introduce drama by exploring shapes, moving through space,
and building human statues.
An Introduction to Acting: Grades 4-8
How do actors learn to act? Students will experience some of the really fun
beginning exercises that actors study and practice.
An Introduction to Clowning: Grades K-8
Begins with a clown warm-up and followed by an introduction to some classic
clown routines. Everyone will learn a basic solo routine and several
partner routines will be demonstrated.
Juggling, Grades 4-12
An introduction to toss juggling.
Commedia dell'Arte: Grades 9-12
Students learn about Harlequin (Arlecchino), Columbine, Zanni and other masked
characters of The Commedia. All students participate in a series of
Commedia exercises and are introduced to several classic lazzi (comic
business).
Workshop Fees for Northern Kentucky/Greater Cincinnati Area:
$80 for a 1 hour workshop
$110 for 2 hours of workshop
$160 for 3 hours of workshops
$210 all day, up to 4 hours of workshops
Workshop Fees out of the area:
$225 half day, up to 2 hours of workshops
$325 all day, up to 4 hours of workshops
Travel and overnight expenses will need to be added when necessary.
