Circus Classes

  • My Nose Turns Red allows your child to run away and join the circus without leaving home. Learn how to juggle, balance on the rolling globe, and learn the basics of creating a clown character. Classes are highly engaging, challenging youth to walk on the wire and balance on the rola bola. Circus builds physical literacy and hand-eye coordination. Students play various circus games that build teamwork, cooperation, trust, and friendship. Boost your children’s self-confidence and creativity in a safe and non-competitive environment. 

    Classes include:

    Beginning Circus for 5-7-year-olds,

    Circus Ensemble 7-13-year-olds,

    Circus Ensemble 14-18-year-olds,

    Circus Youth in Action

    Intermediate-Advanced Lyra (Circus Ensemble members only),

    Beginning Lyra,

    Beginning Sling,

    Beginning German Wheel,

    Intermediate/Advanced  German Wheel (Circus Ensemble members only).

After-School Programs

  • In addition to our classes at the Evendale Cultural Arts Center, My Nose Turns Red offers after-school circus programs in-person. 

    Tuition based after-school are offered at Fairview-Clifton German Language School (Tuesdays) and Hyde Park Elementary (Fridays). 

    Free after-school circus classes are offered for Roberts Academy a through funding through the Ohio Arts Council, and ArtsWave. Please contact us for a scholarship for any of our classes if they are eligible for free and/or reduced lunch. My Nose Turns Red believes everyone should have the opportunity to take circus classes.

Register for After-School

Arts Education

MNTR presents their performance All About Balance and circus performances/workshops to schools and libraries  for a demonstration of circus skills such as gym wheel, unicycle, tightwire, acrobatics, hoop dancing and more. Performers will share their creative process, skill development and take questions from the students. Past performances have included St. James Catholic School, Holy Family Catholic School, Wright Memorial Library, Miami Township Library and Dayton Metro Libraries. 

 

In-school performances, residencies, or workshops are tailored for grades K-12.
