Pixels, Prisms, and Pies: A Pigment of Your Imagination

Unity is a critical component of a definition of circus. Everything and everyone has a place in this ring. We are each a unique part of a larger whole, bringing different disciplines, personalities, and talents, much like different wavelengths that make up light and color.

This year, our in-person classes were capped at eight students. While not everyone could be together in class, we continued Circus Youth in Action, our creative youth development program, online. Together, they created the show’s concept, the title and helped define the order of the acts. They conveyed the virtual performance concept to Matt Steffen, our photographer, and Samiya Shamma, our videographer. Pixels, Prisms, and Pies is truly their show.
